 SBI Clerk Educational Qualification:

  • Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent
  • The candidate must have achieved 60% in 10+2 (For General)
  • Or Graduate with min 40% marks (35% for SC/ST/PWD)
  • The candidate must have achieved 55% in 10+2 (For SC/ST)
  • Or A Diploma course passed after 10th standard from recognized institutes, with two years of minimum study. It should be a full-time course (not through correspondence) with a minimum of 60% marks.

Phases of Examination

Bank Clerk recruitment comprises of two stages of exams, via

Phase 1 Written test:  Written test followed by an interview. The written test is normally comprised of an objective type test.

Phase 2 Common Interviews: Candidates who clear the written test are called for interviews. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection now has complete control over recruitment, placing professionals in all public sector banks in India. The interview will be conducted by themself and not by the participating banks. And prepare a final merit list will be used to recruit the candidates directly to the banking position.

A personal interview is conducted to check the behavior, communication skills, and knowledge about banking and financial topics. The Technical questions may come from your previous job (if you are already working), and the projects that you have done, academics, and about the bank also. So, prepare well on one subject from your academics, do good research on the bank, and also make rehearsal of mock interviews.

SBI Clerk Coaching In Delhi- Scheme of Examination for SBI Clerk

The written test consists of an Objective type Paper.

Objective type: Maximum Marks: 200

The test areas in the objective type test of Bank Clerk Exam include tests from Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning & logical reasoning, English language, Computer & Marketing Knowledge & General Awareness.  In Objective Paper the candidate has to be answered 250 Questions in 150 Minutes.

Phase 1: Preliminary Examination for 100 marks shall be conducted in the month of May. It would contain 3 sections.

Candidates have to pass each objective test that also carries a 0.25 negative mark.

Phase 2: Main Exams would be conducted for candidates who qualify in prelims. It will be for 200 marks.

Phase III: Interview (subject to Govt of India approval) Those who get clear the main exams will be called for a personal interview. Since the govt of India had advised banks not to conduct interviews for clerical cadre jobs, it is not known whether SBI will continue with an interview or not.

Cut-off and Negative Marking

The candidates shall be required to qualify in each objective test as per the cut-off marks. Every wrong answer marked will be penalized in the objective type  tests which will result in negative marks for every wrong answer i.e., 1/4th or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted

Syllabus for SBI Clerk Entrance
The syllabus for the SBI Clerk Entrance Exam is based completely on the syllabus of class 10+2, from different boards like State, ISE and CBSE. The candidates must be well aware of the syllabus of classes 10+1 and 10+2. Final Selection will be done on the basis of performance in the written test and interview.
